Dynamic
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound DVD
In March 2006 we released the DVD-ROM 'Dynamic Musculoskeletal
Ultrasound' as a successor for the succesful CD-ROM 'Musculoskeletal
Ultrasound'. The CD-ROM, which was first released in 1997,contained
125 static ultrasound images of the key positions, we teach
at our workshop and which we consider crucial in performing
a state-of-the-art-ultrasound exam of the various joints.Because
of continuous improvement in ultrasound equipment, and
a more detailed knowledge of ultrasound anatomy and pathology,
we felt the need to present a new
didactic tool which reflects
the progress which has been made in the field of musculoskeletal
ultrasound.
Content
The DVD-Rom contains about 120 dynamic
video-fragments of the key
anatomic regions, not only offering a more profound
insight of the sometimes complex relations in the various
anatomic regions, but also explaining with more clarity
how to perform a dynamic ultrasound examination.
In the pathology chapter, 950 images of pathology
(static and dynamic), give an overview of most frequent
pathologic entities.
Didactic Value
We feel that compared
to the various available textbooks, the dynamic nature
of the DVD-ROM really offers an extra didactic
value, as
well for the beginners in the field, as for the more experienced
examinator.
